Person being treated after fall from second floor of Hiyaa tower

A person is being treated at hospital after a fall from the second floor of a Hiyaa tower.

According to Maldives Police Service, the person fell from the second floor of Hiyaa Tower 3 and is subsequently being treated at Hulhumale’ Hospital. The Police did not provide details of the extent of the injuries or how the fall had occurred.

The case is under investigation by the Police.

The 25-floor Hiyaa towers developed in Hulhumale’ Phase II are the highest buildings developed in the Maldives for residential purposes. Thousands of people reside at Hiyaa towers.

Falls have previously been recorded at Hiya towers, with some victims losing their lives.
