Power went out in some of the residential towers in Hulhumale’ Phase II on Saturday afternoon, just two weeks after a similar outage left the area without electricity for hours.
State Electric Company (STELCO) confirms that the power is out in parts of Hulhumale’ Phase II.

The state utility company attributed this to a technical issue.
“We are working on identifying and resolving the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience,” added the company in a post on X.

The latest outage comes after a similar one on April 12 left parts of Hulhumale’ Phase II without power for around eight hours.
The outage was attributed to damage to the main electricity cable due to construction work.
