Water cut off for Phase II following pipe burst

Water supply has been cut off for Hulhumale’ Phase II after a water pipe burst.

Speaking with Sun, an official from HDC said officials from both the corporation and MWSC were active at the area following the water pipe burst.

HDC affirmed that the issue will be resolved before 6:00pm this evening.

The official did not specify which water pipe burst and which Hiyaa towers were left without water.

Sources told Sun that water supply has been cut off to majority of the Hiyaa towers. 

Videos and photos circulating on social media shows the area flooded following the pipe burst.
