18 more land plots up for sale from Hulhumale’

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened the sale of additional plots of land for residential purposes from Hulhumale’ Phase II.

The HDC had announced the sale of 13 plots of land in May. In an announcement on Thursday, the HDC added 18 more plots of land to the list.

The new plots of land include two beachfront plots and 16 beachside plots.

The size of beachfront plots ranges from 1,261.36-square-feet to 1,454.19-square-feet, while the size of beachside plots ranges from 1,316.24-square-feet to 1,584.18-square-feet.

HDC said all Maldivian citizens above the age of 18 years are eligible to submit bids. If the bidder is a company, it must be a 100 percent locally-owned company registered in the Maldives.

The land sale will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, interested parties are required to submit their Expression of Interest (EoI). The second phase is the opening of bidding for plots that receive more than one EoI.

Bidding for beachfront plots start at MVR 4,500 and bidding for beachside plots start at MVR 4,000. Interested parties can submit EoIs for more than one plot.
