Authorities recover stolen items from Billabong School

Maldives Police Service have recovered the items stolen from Billabong High International School.

Police in a message shared to the media said they received report of robbery from the school on Monday evening.

Police had inspected CCTV footage and traced the stolen items, two laptops, which they recovered after they had been sold in the black market.

The law enforcement authority is current investigating the case, but have not made any arrests regarding the incident.

According to police statistics, the most reported criminal activity so far this year is robbery, with 2,369 cases reported.
