Two injured in violent altercation in Male’ road

Two violent altercations took place in the Maldivian capital on Sunday, following a similar incident the previous night.

The incident the previous night in Male’ City left one person injured.

The first incident on Sunday was reported from the Filigas Magu in Hulhumale’, at around 04:07 am.

According to a police spokesperson, the suspect in the case had attempted to evade arrest when the police arrived at the scene, by getting into a car.

The police said there were two people in the car, and that they hit a police officer with the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The police have arrested one of the suspects, and are on the hunt for the other.

According to a police spokesperson, both the assault victim and the police officer were treated at the Hulhumale’ Hospital, and then discharged.

The second incident on Sunday took place in a street in the Henveiru district of Male’ City, leaving two people injured.

The latest altercation, which took place near the Masjid Al-Shaheed Ali, was reported to the police at around 12:45 pm.

A police spokesperson said that two people were injured in the incident, and were taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The police did not disclose any details.

The latest cases comes less than 24 hours after a violent altercation took place outside the convention center, Dharubaaruge, located in one of the capital’s busiest roads, Ameenee Magu.

The incident was reported to police at around 10:30 pm on Saturday.

The incident resulted in injuries to one person, who was treated at the nearby Senahiya Hospital.

The police in an earlier statement that the person was “not in serious condition.”

The police arrested two suspects on Saturday night, and in a statement on Sunday morning, announced two additional arrests.

This brings the total number of people arrested in the case to four.

The police identified all four suspects as Maldivian males, but has not disclosed any details regarding either them, or the incident.

The police said they were investigating all three cases. However, they have not said whether they believe there to be a link between the cases.

Statistics released by the police show the authorities have received reports of over 300 cases of assault, so far this year.
