President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have arrived in Medinah, Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
The first couple departed Saudi Arabia on Friday morning to perform Umrah on the gracious hospitality of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
The first couple was received by the Governor of Madinah Region, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, upon their arrival at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport.
According to Saudi Arabian news outlets, President Muizzu visited Al-Masjid An-Nabawī, the Prophet’s Mosque, following his arrival, where he performed prayers.
The first couple is accompanied by several senior government officials on trip; Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Chief Imaam of Islamic Centre Sheikh Mohamed Latheef, The President’s Office’s Chief of Staff Abdulla Fayaz Minister at the President’s Office for Presidential Affairs Ali Arif and Minister at the President’s Office; Abdulla Nasir.
They traveled on an aircraft arranged by the Saudi government.
