Former Broadcasting Commission member Zeena Zahir will be appointed as the Managing Director of the state-run Public Service Media (PSM) during President-elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu's administration.
President-elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu first announced the decision to appoint a woman as the MD of PSM at a press conference at the Social Center last night.
However, he did not say who it was, but said that the person was also present at the conference.
“This time, the managing director of the state-owned media company, Public Service Media, will also be a woman. She is present here,” Muizzu said noting that atleast eight stae run companies will have women as their MDs.
Sun has learned that Dr Muizzu has decided to appoint Zeena as the MD of PSM.
Zeena holds a Masters in Business Administration.
Zeena started her career in journalism back in 2006. He has spent 17 years in this field and has held various positions. Today, she runs her own magazine called ‘Zee Times’.
