23-year-old woman remanded for 5 days for violence

A 23-year-old woman suspected of violence has been remanded in custody for five days by the Criminal Court.

Criminal Court said the police had submitted sufficient evidence to invoke suspicions that the suspect had exerted violence.

Therewith, the court, on Tuesday, remanded the suspect in police custody for five days.

In light of this, Criminal Court remanded the suspect in police custody for five days, citing a possible danger to the society under Articles 59 and 60 of Criminal Procedure Act.

This case comes after Police, on Wednesday, said a woman stabbed a man with a sharp object in Male’ City on Tuesday, near Kalaafanu School.
