171 marriages, 132 divorces in August

Records released by the Family Court shows it registered 171 marriages and 132 divorces in August.

The court’s records show it completed processing 188 divorce petitions in August.

This includes 115 new petitions for divorce and 158 petitions pending over from July. The court completed processing 129 petitions, while 144 divorce petitions remain pending.

The court also processed 67 new petitions to prove divorce, and 30 such petitions pending from July. The court competed work on 58 of the petitions, while 39 remain pending.

The court also processed other petitions related to family disputes.
