BML staff donate blood to Thalassemia patients

Bank of Maldives (BML) held a blood donation camp for its staff on Thursday.

The camp, held in collaboration with Maldives Blood Service, is part of an initiative announced by the bank in 2021, to host blood donation camps for staff on a quarterly basis to meet the demand for blood for transfusions required by Thalassemia patients.

46 staff joined the camp to donate blood in this quarter’s camp – while over 60 staff and their family members donated blood during the donation camps in the first two quarters.

BML states it aims to create awareness among staff about social issues and encourage them to participate in activities benefiting the community.
