Male’ City Council discusses greater collaboration with China’s Pingtan

Top officials from the Male’ City Council and China’s Pingtan have engaged in discussions regarding fostering greater collaboration and exploring areas of mutual assistance.

The talks took place in Male’ City last week.

The Chinese delegation that took part in the talks included top Pingtan officials in areas of foreign relations, housing and municipal services, tourism, and watersports.

Male’ City Council said the delegates expressed keen interest in fostering greater collaboration.

The delegates inquired about the city’ council’s strategic action plan and pledged support to fulfill the objectives.

Male’ City Major Dr. Mohamed Muizzu described the meeting as an important talk held as part of the close relationship between Male' City and three Chinese cities through "sister city" agreements.

He also expressed appreciation for China's continued assistance to Maldives in various fields.
