Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed held talks with China’s Ambassador to the Maldives, Kong Xianhua, on Tuesday.
The meeting took place at the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building, the headquarters of the Maldives Police Service.
Police said the two discussed further strengthening the long‑standing friendly relations between the Maldives and China.
In addition, the Commissioner of Police thanked the Chinese government for its continued assistance in enhancing the services of the Maldives Police, noting the strong ties between the two countries and their cooperation across various fields.

The two also exchanged views on future cooperation to enhance the capacity and operational readiness of the police force.
China is already one of the largest donors to the Maldives.
