Ameer said that once the migration to the new pay framework is complete, they too will receive the 35 percent allowance other staff receive.
National Pay Commission’s secretary-general Dr. Mohamed Faizal said the allowance wasn’t the permanent solution to the admin staff, and that there pay framework too, would undergo “positive changes in the future”.
“When we migrate to a national pay framework, this will include pay structures for employees of all professions. Right now, we are revising the pay framework for academic professions and senior positions. Even in state institutions that have yet to migrate to the new pay framework, they are paid 35 percent,” he said.
