HDC-Police sign MoU on Hiyaa Flat CCTV feed sharing

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and Maldives Police Service executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday sharing the feed of the CCTV cameras installed inside and outside the Hiyaa Flats developed at Hulhumale’ Phase II.

The MoU was signed during a special ceremony on Sunday by HDC’s Managing Director Ahmed Athif and Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed. Following the execution of the MoU, Police will now have access to feeds of the CCTV cameras installed in Hiyaa Flats.

Commenting on the MoU executed today, HDC remarked Hiyaa Flats can be thoroughly monitored in collaboration with the police as they are inhabited by a large number of people. Therewith, the corporation emphasized on the importance of the police having access to the CCTV feed.

Efforts to provide real-time feed of the CCTV cameras to the Police are presently underway.

The MoU will aid greatly in the collaborative efforts by HDC and Police to ensure Hiyaa flats are a safe place.
