Allied donates helmets to support police’s ‘Rakkaa’ program

Allied Insurance has donated 100 helmets to the Maldives Police Service to support this year’s ‘Rakkaa’ road safety program.

The donation was presented by Allied’s General Manager Ibrahim Firushan to Chief Inspector of Police Ahmed Faseeh in a function at the Allied headquarters on Monday morning.

The ‘Rakkaa’ program is run by the police to promote road safety and increase awareness on road regulation.

Allied has been supporting the program since 2015.

Speaking at the function, Chief Inspector of Police Faseeh acknowledged Allied’s contribution to the ‘Rakkaa’ program.

He said the police plan on conducting multiple awareness programs across Maldives under the ‘Rakka’ program this year.

“This program, ‘Rakkaa’, is being run as ‘Rakkaa’ with the cooperation from Allied since day one,” he said.

He thanked Allied for its support to the program.

Police are set to conduct awareness programs in Male’ and several islands in southern Maldives under the ‘Rakkaa’ program this year.

Allied is also set to donate helmets to the first 140 customers who sign for their comprehensive motor insurance package from Allied’s headquarters in H. Orchid.
