TMA defends the World's Leading Seaplane Operator title

Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has been awarded World’s Leading Seaplane Operator 2022 at the 29th World Travel Awards.

The Deputy Manager of Business Development and Corporate Strategy of TMA, Aishath Alaa Abdul Hannaan received the award on behalf of TMA.

This is the eighth time TMA has won this prestigious title, and the sixth time they have won consecutively.

Tourism Minister Dr Abdulla Mausoom, Thoyyib Mohamed from MMPRC, and Aishath Alaa of TMA at the Final Gala of the 29th World Travel Awards.

The Maldives also received the World's Leading Destination award from the WTA, which it has held for the last three years. MMPRC was awarded the prestigious title of World's Leading Tourist Board 2022 as well. This is the first time MMPRC have received this title.

The World Travel Awards Final Gala was held at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Oman last Friday night. The Maldives took home various accolades from WTA.
