BML said that the workshop will be held at Manhattan Business Hotel on November 19.

MMC’s President Mohamed Shafaau told Sun on Wednesday night that the workshop will be held on November 19, from morning to evening. He added that 25 people, amongst editors and journalists, will get the opportunity to participate in the workshop.

The topics which will be covered in the workshop include writing news articles on financial reports, regulations on anti-money laundering, and terrorism financing, and financial fraud awareness.

Shafaau noted that the workshop will also focus on points to pay attention to whilst writing news articles on the state budget.

“The most important topic we will cover is budget. Participating in such a workshop will make reading the figures on budget a lot easier. With these things in mind, we decided to hold a financial journalism workshop,” he had said.

The workshop will be conducted by experts of BML, including chartered bankers.
