IUM’s teams tour L. Atoll, GA. Atoll, and GDh. Atoll

Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) has begun touring islands in the southern L. Atoll, GA. Atoll, and GDh. Atoll to share information regarding courses offered by the university.

The first tour was from June 16-18 to islands in L. Atoll.

The tour team was composed of:

• Dr. Aishath Reesha, Dean, Kulliyyah of Education
• Uz. Haulath Saeed, Lecturer, Kulliyyah of Education
• Mohamed Thaufeeq, Lecturer, Kulliyyah of Quran and Sunnah
• Uz. Aishath Shihama, Lecturer, Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Studies

The islands visited:

• L. Maavah
• L. Gan
• L. Maabaidhoo
• L. Dhanbidhoo

The second tour, to GA. Atoll and GDh. Atoll, began on June 16 and is set to conclude on June 21.

The tour team is composed of:

• Uz. Mohamed Mansoor, Dean, Kulliyyah of Quran and Sunnah
• Ibrahim Shifau, Lecturer, Kulliyyah of Education
• Ahmed Rauf Abdulla, Registrar

The team will visit:

• GA. Dhevvadhoo
• GDh. Madaveli
• GDh. Faresmaathoda
• GDh. Gadhdhoo
• GA. Gemanafushi
• GA. Dhaandhoo
• GA. Nilandhoo
• GA. Maamendhoo
• GA. Vilingili

The tour will end in Vilingili – which will serve as IUM’s outreach center for the second semester of 2022, offering master’s, bachelor’s, diploma, advanced certificate, and certificate level courses.

IUM states the purpose of the tours was to increase the number of new students, and expand services of the universities across Maldives.
