Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted to build a waste transfer station in ADh. Kunburudhoo.

The contract was signed by MTCC’s COO Shahid Hussain Moosa and Deputy Environment Minister Mohamed Ansar on Monday.

MTCC states that waste transfer stations play an important role in a community’s total waste management system, serving as the link between a community’s solid waste collection program and a final waste disposal facility.

The company said that once the facility is constructed in Kunburudhoo, it will help the island manage its waste more conveniently.
