Maldivian man reported missing in Sri Lanka

A traveler from Maldives has been reported missing in Sri Lanka. 

Ibrahim Ali, 62, travelled to Sri Lanka to seek medical treatment. He has been missing since Tuesday, May 3. 

He was last seen outside Dehiwala Mosque. 

Foreign Ministry’s Communications Director Miuvaan Mohamed told Sun on Saturday evening that the Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka has been providing assistance to the family of the missing man. 

The case has been reported to Sri Lankan police. 

“The family of the missing person is communicating with the Sri Lankan police. The Maldivian government is extending necessary assistance to the family,” said Miuvaan.
