Applications open for stalls at Hiyaa Local Market

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened applications for stalls at the Hiyaa Local Market developed in Hulhumale’ Phase II to improve access of tenants of the Hiyaa housing units to food products during upcoming Ramadan. 

HDC states that 19 stalls at the market are available for lease.  

The stalls will be leased to tenants of the Hiyaa housing units. 

HDC states that interested parties may submit one application per person. 

Submission of application forms will be held from 09:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, at the auditorium of Huravee School. The draw will be held at 11:30 am. 

HDC states that ones the names of winning parties are announced during the draw, they will be required to pay MVR 1,500 as security deposit at the counters set up at the event hall. 

Selected vendors will be required a monthly lease amount of MVR 2,000 as an advance within two days they receive letters confirming their selection. 

Vendors will be returned the security deposit once the lease period expires, if there are no outstanding fees.  

HDC states that vendors will be required to start providing services within seven days the lease agreement is signed. 

The agreements of vendors who fail to start providing services within the time frame will be terminated.
