Expatriate injured from attack undergoing treatment

An expatriate who was injured in an attack that took place in Male’ City undergoing treatment.

Maldives Police Services received reports of the incident at about 07:00 PM on Saturday.

A spokesperson from police said that the attack took place near the Kurikeelamagu-Chaandhaneemagu juncture and that the person injured was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment.

However, the police did not disclose the nature of the injuries sustained by the expatriate.

An investigation is ongoing, and so far no arrests have been made in connection to this case.
