3 injured in violent altercation between migrants in Hulhumale’ Phase II

Three individuals have been injured in a violent altercation that broke out between migrants in Hulhumale’ Phase II.

A Police Spokesperson said that officers were dispatched to the scene upon receiving a report regarding a violent altercation between a group of migrants.

The Spokesperson also confirmed that three migrants who were injured in the altercation were taken to Hulhumale’ Hospital for treatment.

Photos circulating on social media show a man’s head and hand covered in blood. Meanwhile, another man’s hand and back were covered in blood.

Another man’s back also indicated signs of injury. A man was down on the floor as well. It is unclear how many people in total were involved in the altercation.

Police said that the cause of the altercation was over a theft. They also added that they were investigating the case further.
