MTCC awarded shore protection projects in Kudafari, Kulhadhuffushi Airport

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded the shore protection project in N. Kudafaru and the shore protection project in HDh. Kulhudhuffushi Airport.

The contracts for the projects were signed by MTCC’s CEO Adam Azim and Planning Ministry’s Director-General Fathimath Shana Farooq on Tuesday.

The project in Kulhudhuffushi involves installment of an 882-meter boulder wall, and a 30-meter groynes.

MTCC is also required to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment ahead of the project.

The project is valued at MVR 42.37 million.

MTCC is required to complete the project within 200 days.

Meanwhile, the project in Kudafari involves installation of a 718-meter revetment wall and preparation of an Environmental Impact Assessment.

The project is valued at MVR 15.01 million.

MTCC is required to complete the project within 300 days.
