According to the Maldivian Health Ministry, the MoU will establish a collaborative mechanism to share knowledge, initiate expert visits, strengthen health regulatory capacity and provide support in mutually agreed areas including primary care, secondary care, health resilience, health financing, health talent, and health technology.

The new MoU comes after the Health Ministry signed a MoU with Fenaka Corporation to digitalize the health sector. According to the Health Ministry, Fenaka’s IT team will conduct an audit of the IT infrastructure in the health sector, which will identify the areas that need improvement in order to fully digitalize healthcare services.
