COVID-19: Maldives records 211 new infections, 132 from islands other than Male'

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 211 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 71,709.

According to HPA, the new cases include; 54 cases from the greater Male’ region, 132 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 25 cases from operational resorts.

Meanwhile, 912additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 66,090.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 5,403 active cases.

There are 46 patients in hospitals.

3,415 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
