The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has called on the public to remain cautious as seasonal flu and viral fever, as well as cases of diarrhea, continue to circulate across the country.
In a statemen last week, the HPA reported an increase in cases of vomiting and diarrhea and advised the public to make frequent handwashing a key preventive measure. The agency also urged individuals to seek prompt medical attention if they experience symptoms including severe fatigue, reduced fluid intake, excessive thirst, dizziness, or persistent vomiting.
Reiterating the warning today, the HPA confirmed an upward trend in cases of flu and diarrhea. To help prevent the spread of these illnesses, the agency has issued the following precautionary recommendations:
