COVID-19: 68th death recorded, local female aged 82

Maldives has recorded its 68th death related to COVID-19, since confirming the first case back in March of 2020.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) tweeted today that a female Maldivian receiving treatment at the DH11 facility of Dharumavantha Hospital in Male' City had passed away due to the virus.

The time of death is recorded as 11:12, and HPA stated that the deceased was aged 82. 

"This is the 68th COVID-19 death in the Maldives,"

The Maldives has 25,939 confirmed cases of the virus, with 2,621 active cases. There are currently 58 patients hospitalized for the virus in the nation.
