COVID-19: Maldives confirms 93 new cases

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 93 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 25,617.

According to HPA, the new cases include; 50 cases from the greater Male’ region, 21 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 22 cases from operational resorts.

Meanwhile, 122 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 22,551.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,990 active cases.

There are 72 patients in hospitals.

3,516 samples (including repeated samples) have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

67 COVID-19 patients have died from complications.
