Maldives Police Service has decided to conduct an audit of the flats under construction in Hulhumale’ for police officers to obtain an exact valuation.

An announcement by police today read that the valuation was to determine the services and goods purchased for the housing project in Hulhumale’ phase 1, since it was decided to retake the project from the contractors for the flats.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 21 at Iskandharu Koshi to provide information for the audit.

Work on the housing project by the Police Cooperative Society (POLCO) was commenced in 2012. The project was first awarded to Noomadi Resorts and Residences. It was, however, later sub-contracted to Island Expert by Noomadi.

Island Expert later took over the entire project which later saw the rise of multiple issues and delays in the project.
