Robbers break into multiple shops in market area of Male' City

Thieves have broken into a number of shops located in the market area of the capital Male’ City, Maldives. 

Police said that reports of the break-ins were received around 7:30 in the morning. 

Police also added that officers were now investigating the case in the area. 

No further details regarding how many shops were broken into, the value of items stolen, or how the robbers broke in is clear yet. 

However, this is the first time in recent history that a spate of robberies had taken place in the same area targeting multiple businesses.
