Defense Minister Mariya to visit Sri Lanka

Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi is set to visit Sri Lanka on an official visit at the request of the Sri Lankan Secretary of Defense.

Minister Mariya will be taking part in the fourth 'NSA level meeting on Trilateral Maritie Security Cooperation' during her visi which will be from November 27-18. The meeting will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. 

The meeting is being held after a six-year break and will see discussions on the security concerns in the Indian Ocean. Senior security advisors from india and Sri Lanka will also be taking part in the meeting.

Observers of the meeting include Mauritus, Bangladesh and Seychelles.
