Bad weather anticipated for central regions of Maldives

Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has issued a yellow weather alert.

The alert was issued for the regions between Sh. Atoll and A. Dh. Atoll in the central regions of the Maldives due to anticipated bad weather. 

The weather alert was issued from 7:45 to 11:45. Met Office said that the areas could experience heavy rainfall.

Seas are expected to be moderately rough with winds of up to 25-30 miles per hour and could increase to 50 miles per hour during gusts. 

Met Office said that bad weather could be expected for the next few days.
