Met Office: Light showers in some regions, seas to be mild

The Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has forecasted light showers for some islands on Thursday, though seas are expected to be calm. 

According to the Met Office, showers are anticipated in parts of the central and northern atolls, while weather conditions in the southern atolls are expected to remain generally good.

Wind speeds across all regions are projected to range between five and 15 mph. Meanwhile, wind direction has been predicted from the southeast and south in the southern atolls, and southwest and west in other regions.

Met Office expects seas to be mild to moderate, with wave heights estimated between two and four feet.

It is presently 'Fura' nakaiy of the Southwest Monsoon. While occasional showers may occur during this period, the weather is typically characterized by clear skies.
