A one-month-old infant who tested positive for COVID-19 has been admitted at IGMH due to a high fever.
The infant was admitted today and IGMH pediatrician said Dr. Ahmed Faisal said that the high fever was the reason why the baby had to be admitted. The baby was very much dehydrated and there was difficulty in feeding her.

Maldives has so far confirmed 4,293 cases of COVID-19. Current active cases number at 1,590 while 93 people are being treated at hospitals.
Children that tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives number high. So far 210 children below the age of 10 have tested positive for the virus. However, no child has been treated under serious circumstances.
