11 other cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Maldives.
The cases were confirmed on the Health Ministry’s COVID-19 Dashboard before the Health Protection Agency announced the 95 positive cases identified today.
Those who tested positive include nine locals and two Bangladeshi nationals. Some of the patients are elderly individuals with two locals aged above 60 included.
The two locals are a 64-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man. A 4-year old Maldivian girl is also among those who tested positive. All the positive cases are in a stable condition. Cluster details are not yet available from the dashboard regarding the positive cases.
Other cases confirmed today include 61 Bangladeshi nationals, 32 Indian nationals, and 2 Nepali nationals.

These samples were taken from individuals in isolation at a vulnerable house placed under police surveillance.
Total number of cases: 396
HPA stated that the samples from the individuals were collected after they were placed in isolation from a vulnerable residence. The residence is currently being monitored by Police. The HPA announced cases and the cases confirmed on the Health Ministry's dashboard calculates a total of 106 cases confirmed today alone.
Along with the confirmed 106 cases today, the total number of cases in the Maldives is currently 396. 17 people have also made full recoveries after being infected with the virus, while the country recorded its first death from the virus last night.
