HPA: Misunderstanding lead to virus restrictions on house in Male' city

HPA has stated that an order restricting entry to a house in Male’ city due to the Covid-19 virus was issued due to a misunderstanding.

The authority placed restrictions on G. Oliver Green and a house in Mahchangoalhi ward of Male’ city for a 14-day period yesterday. The restrictions on G. Oliver Green were later lifted after the authority tweeted that a misunderstanding had led to the measures.

The Maldives has so far confirmed 18 cases of the virus and 13 recoveries. Three locals are the only ones receiving treatment for the virus as of right now. Two tourists also departed from the country after comp0leting their quarantine periods. The test results of the two tourists were received as positive after they had already departed from the country.
