National carrier Maldivian has decided to temporarily suspend flights to the Indian cities of Kochi and Chennai.
Maldivian, in a statement, announced that the steps were taken in light of the Covid-19 disease and shifts to international flights would be brought as part of these steps.
Operations to Trivandrum will be held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, while flights to Chennai and Kochi would be temporarily halted. The last day of operations by Maldivian to Bangladesh and Chennai would be March 20. While the last flights to Kochi would be on March 19, 21 and 23.
The ticketing office of the company will also be closed starting from tomorrow and refunds have also been temporarily stopped. The company services would still be available online.
