Fare prices have been publicized following a decision to link four southern Maldivian atolls via small aircrafts.

National airline, Maldivian said the four southernmost Maldivian atolls – Gaafu Alifu, Gaafu Dhaalu, Addu City and Fuvahmulah City – will be linked via air travel. The operations are scheduled to commence next month.

The fares are as follows:

  • Gan to Fuvamulah – MVR 500 one-way
  • Gan to Kadedhdhoo – MVR 900 one-way
  • Gan to Kooddoo – MVR 900 one-way
  • Fuvahmulah to Kaadedhdhoo – MVR 650 one-way
  • Fuvahmulah to Kooddoo – MVR 650 one-way

Maldivian added that bookings have been opened for these flights.

DHC-6-300 twin otters aircrafts, which has a capacity of around 15 people, will be utilized for these operations.

The southern operations have been announced after resident Dr. Mohamed Muizzu recently revealed that his administration is researching the feasibility of developing airstrips on islands to accommodate small aircraft landings instead of increasing airports
