Fuvahmulah city council has announced that it is searching for anyone in contact with the “Island Safari 1” boat after two cases of the Covid-19 virus was tested positive from the safari.
The safari had docked at Fuvahmulah city last Wednesday before departing on Thursday and returning on Saturday. The council stated that only the employees of the safari had disembarked on the day.
While the safari is in quarantine, a team of Fuvahmulah hospital medical professionals had visited the boat.
The council requested those in contact with people from the boat to fulfill their individual responsibilities and contact the Fuvahmulah Hospital via phone number 6860658.
Maldive has confirmed 13 cases of the disease, all of whom are foreigners.
