Two locals that arrived from China released from quarantine

Two Maldivians have been released from quarantine after arriving back in the Maldives from China.

HPA made the announcement today that the locals, a mother, and child, were released after completing the 14-day quarantine period in Farukolhufushi. Government spokesperson Mabrook Azeez said that the two were in quarantine not because of any symptoms but because they had arrived from a country where the disease was spreading.

A total of six cases of the Covid-19 disease have been identified in the Maldives. Authorities are monitoring them who are now in isolation in Farukolhufushi.

The cases were identified in two resorts of the country which are now in lockdown.
