Convict escapes after being taken to hospital

Maldives Correctional Services has begun searching for an inmate that escaped from custody after being taken to IGMH.

Police stated that the escapee is Aisaru Naseem (24 years).

Maldives Corrections Information Officer Ismail Suood stated that the convict escaped in the morning from IGMH.

The man was serving time for a drug-related offense.
