Spots designated in Hulhumale’ western jetty to dock dinghies

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has designated 120 spots from the Hulhumale’ western jetty to harbor dinghies.

According to an announcement by HDC on Monday, the decision followed the need to clear the dinghies which are currently docked between Hulhumale’ I and Hulhumale’ II in order to build causeways to link the two areas.

The 120 spots designated from the Hulhumale’ western jetty for dinghies will be released based on a specific set of policies.

According to HDC, the top priority is to release spots to Category A Hulhumale’ permanent residents, but that spots will also be released to Category B non-permanent residents.

Those who wish to obtain the designated spots have been instructed to submit application forms by January 19. A draw to select the winners from among the applicants will be held on January 21.

The lagoon near the WAMCO site in Hulhumale’ harbors a large number of dinghies and other small boats.
