MNDF recovers dinghy involved in B. Atoll accident

MNDF has recovered from the bottom of the ocean, what remains of the dinghy involved in a collision with a speedboat at sea last Thursday night.

The dinghy was discovered 46 meters underwater by a team of MNDF divers yesterday. MNDF has stated that the dinghy has now been taken to B. Dharavandhoo.

Investigations are continuing to assess whether parts of an engine discovered from the area belonged to the dinghy. The accident also saw Nasrullah Abdulla from Mushthareege, B. Eydhafushi lost at sea. Several others also suffered injuries from the accident, including the captain of the speedboat.

MNDF is continuing with the search for Nasrullah, with divers, a helicopter and a dive robot as well.
