IGMH Physiotherapist accused of sexual crimes isolated from work

A physiotherapist working at IGMH who has been accused of committing sexual crimes against a patient has been sidelined and isoloated from work.

The hospital stated that Police were now investigating the case of the physiotherapist accused of making unwanted sexual advancements towards a 19-year old patient. Police stated that the case was reported on October 9 and involved a 28-year old physiotherapist of the hospital.

An IGMH official stated that such cases are taken extremely seriously by the hospital but stated that the hospital was not accusing the employee of any crimes right now.

The official also stated that a group of men had later entered the hospital after the initial incident and attacked the physiotherapist, forcing him to confess. The incident was captured on CCTV and has now been shared with Police, according to the official.

“There are rumors that the physiotherapist is still working here (at IGMH). But that is not correct. We have taken constructive action in the cased and the physiotherapist has now been sidelined from work” said the IGMH official confirming that the physiotherapist has been sidelined.
