The hospital was opened to public five years ago and has grown to a 500-bed tertiary and multi-specialty hospital. The hospital offers medical, diagnosticis, Therapeutic, Rehabilitative and Preventive care under one roof.

"Over 40 specialized medical services, including Renal, Liver and Bone Marrow transplant, Shoulder & Spine surgery. Knee & Hip replacement surgeries are also available. Other than this, intervention radiology and interventional neurology services are also available at our hospital," Fr. Vazhappilly stated.

He also pointed out that treatment for Thalassemia, a common medical issue in the Maldives, is available at the hospital and stated that the Hemato-oncology department is well equipped and ready to provide the best of services.

Fr. Vazhappilly stated that the hospital had been in partnership with other hospitals in the Middle-east and Africa and that the idea of forming a partnership with the Maldives came after meeting the Maldivian Ambassador Aishath Mohamed Didi at a conference regarding health.

A delegation from the hospital visited the Maldives last month, meeting key figures in the health industry of the country and holding discussions with them. These discussions showed that the easiest and best way to assist the Maldives in the health industry was to introduce telemedicine services to the country.

"We are assured that the government has plans to develop the health industry in this country, they are extremely supportive of our efforts. Government supported initiatives like Aasandha has been a great boon to the citizens of Maldives and has to be given special appreciation."

In addition to holding talks with the government, Rajagiri hospital team also met and held discussions with private clinics in the country as well.
