HDC sends notice to vacate Hulhumale’ beach area

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has sent notice to local businesses to vacate the Hulhumale’ beach area.

HDC has asked the business which have huts and other structures in the beach area to remove the structures by 3 pm this Wednesday.

The notice was sent in preparation for the sewer pipe installation project which is to be carried out in the area.

The corporation warns structures which aren’t voluntarily removed by businesses by the deadline will be removed by the corporation’s workers.

It warns it will not bear responsibility for any damage to property.
