Contracts signed for 100 housing units in Thulhaadhoo, Naifaru

Housing Ministry has contracted housing projects in B. Thulhaadhoo and Lh. Naifaru to two private companies.

The contracts to build 100 housing units each in Thulhaadhoo and Naifaru were signed in a ceremony held at the Housing Ministry headquarters this Wednesday.

The Thulhaadhoo housing project was contracted to a joint venture by Pristine Engineering Services and Flux Inc. Private Limited.

The contract was signed by State Housing Minister Ahmed Nasheed and Managing Director P. W. Thilakarantne.

The housing units in Thulhaadhoo will be built row house style. It will have a 1,100 square foot area with three rooms, three toilets, a sitting room, kitchen, storeroom and laundry area.

The project in Thulhaadhoo is worth MVR 79.6 million and is contracted to be completed within 363 days.

Meanwhile, the Naifaru housing project was contracted to W and A Overseas.

The contract was signed by State Housing Minister Ahmed Nasheed and Managing Director of W and A Overseas, Ajhad Abdulla Zuhair.

The housing project in Naifaru is worth MVR 71.4 million and is contracted to be completed within 311 days.

Unlike the housing units in Thulhaadhoo, the housing units in Naifaru will be built apartment complez style.

Housing Ministry reports the housing projects at both islands will be run at the reclaimed land areas.
