MPL, TVET collaborate to train staff at MPL

An agreement has been signed between Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVET) and Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) to train staff at MPL.

In an event held at the MPL last Tuesday morning, Managing Director of MPL, Shahid Ali and State Minister of Ministry of Higher Education, Mohamed Hashim signed the agreement as representatives from both the parties involved.

Speaking in the ceremony, Director of TVET Ahmed Nisham stated that even though this agreement was signed to train staff of MPL, those that are not staff of MPL can also join the training programs. He said that MPL can train their staff from a field of their choice.

Hundred would be trained in this training program of six months within a year.

Trainings would be provided in automatic machine and maintenance, marine mechanics, IT technicians and electricians and many more.
